The Illustrated Ja’ab Book sees the light!

On February 19, coinciding with the International Mother Language Day, the conference and presentation of the book Ja’ab Ilustrado took place at the University of Quintana Roo’s Felipe Carrillo Puerto campus. During the event, several copies were presented to prominent community members, including a university student.
The book is the result of a collaborative effort involving members of the university itself and the Casa de la Crónica in Felipe Carrillo Puerto; these individuals have engaged in years of intercultural dialogue regarding the key events of each winal—or twenty-day period—of the Mayan year known as Ja’ab.
